Two of my friends and myself are planning a fishing trip to Burma Banks with this Thai Charter (recommended by Anglers Outfitter). The charter is Ekamai Fishing Tackle (website is: http://www.ekamaifishingtackle.com)
Our intended one-week trip is targeted around Jan 2010. It would be mainly jigging and popping for GTs and Tunas.
Basically the trip is outlines as;
meet at Phuket (airfare to Phuket to be paid individually)
transport from Phuket to the Starting Point (in Thailand), Ranong (by van arranged at THB2,000 return estimated)
trip start from Ranong to border of Myammar, Kawthoung and then out to the ocean (Burma Banks)
return via the same route
We estimated the charges excluding airfare to Phuket and other land's meals, would be around THB28,000 (MYR 2,700) per pax. Have a look at the boat at this website :
